Core's Experience

Core Group CMRG is operated by individuals who have been a combined business experience for over 30 years; we have seen the introduction of managed care into the marketplace. With the advent of Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO), Dental Maintenance Organizations (DMO), Preferred-Provider Organizations (PPO), Exclusive-Provider Organizations (EPO), Point of Service (POS) and Independent Provider Arrangements (IPA), employers have been overwhelmed with options and little or no direction on which is best and in what scenario it is best. We have the ability to decipher and judge based not only on cost savings but also on penetration of the marketplace as well as employer/employee satisfaction.

We have watched the regulations grow more stringent each year. With the passage of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, The Mothers and Newborn Act and the Mental Parity Act, as well as the proposed PARCA Legislation, even large companies that once handled all of their own benefits "in house" are beginning to realize the need to outsource in this area. Many companies will not want (or be able) to spend the necessary dollars to stay in compliance with all of this new legislation. CMRG has and will continue to keep these and other employers moving in a forward direction.

Employers are realizing that any kind of administration relating to employee benefits and health is a massive comprehensive array of many different skills and laws. For example, it's not just tax law, because something perfectly acceptable with the IRS could be a criminal offense to the DOL, HCFA or EEOC, etc.
